The coronavirus outbreak continues to shut down businesses and stop people’s everyday lives which has raised a host of questions about how to proceed with the 2020 elections. With social distancing in effect throughout the country, some states have already postponed their primary elections but many are still unsure how to proceed. If COVID-19 continues to prohibit movement in the fall, experts across the political spectrum have offered their opinions and suggestions ranging from only voting via mail-in ballot to postponing the 2020 November election.
