
The State of Free Speech on Campus
Do you think that colleges and universities are doing enough to protect free speech?
Previously, we posted a Knight Foundation study that found 41 percent of college students believe hate speech should not be protected under the First Amendment.
Campus speech has been a divisive issue in 2019. In March, President Trump signed an executive order requiring colleges and universities that receive federal funds to uphold the First Amendment or risk losing research funds.
Some critics believe the executive order was an unnecessary, politically-charged move.
