Absolutely, corruption in world leadership has made fighting covid19 less effective. Too many world leaders have come to power through dubious means. These leaders put their own wealth and power first. As the people of the world live under this corrupt thought, they themselves think it’s okay to steal, lie and weald their own power. Yes, safe guards can be added to the current agency structures, but at the heart of the issue-is a lack of proper leadership at the top of many countries in the world. Lives have become disposable to wealthy people in power. Monetary gain has won over preparedness. History has a way of repeating itself and natural disaster are included in world history. Too bad the corrupt couldn’t be the only victims of this pandemic... stay in, stay safe.
