In these extraordinarily trying times our first responders are under more pressure than they ever have been before. This is not an excuse for any form of brutality directed against any resident of the United States. Our police must be held to a higher standard, as they set the example of how we should treat one another. The repeated instances of police and neighborhood watch killing young men of color is growing at an alarming rate. To acerbate this situation are the repeated failures of the criminal justice system to punish these assailants with badges. These conditions only make it far more difficult for the majority of good police to do their jobs. We need to be able to trust our officers to do their job fairly and correctly. If we cannot trust them, it will not be good for any law-abiding resident of the United States.
