The police think they have the right to do whatever they like with no recourse from the person(s) being interrogated or arrested on the street. A fair number are like little Hitlers with their approach to the public, unfortunately worse for those of colour. I know police work is dangerous, especially in the USA, due to the availability of weapons, but that does not give them the automatic right to use excessive force at every opportunity i.e. kneeling on the neck, 50 cops to restrain 1 individual. They are like a paramilitary force with no recourse to their actions.
